Yadi Mo Edmonds, 10, of Central City, KY died on July 28, 2026 at home getting loves from his Mama and Dad. He was born on June 30, 2016 of a litter of 8 puppies. His Mama had connections allowing her to visit the very first day they were born and every day leading up to choosing him and taking him home with her. However, he chose her just as much as she chose him. From day one, with eyes closed, he would find his way over to her each time she visited and would nestle up on her chest frequently trying to feed on her chin and fingers. While his Mama was given pick of the litter and she pointed him out first thing, he really did choose her too.
Yadi got his name from his Mama’s love for the STL Cardinals and MLB player Yadier Molina. They sat on the couch and watched many baseball games together. Yadi Mo got to take a trip to STL and got his picture taken in front of Busch Stadium. His Mama likes to think that his love for toy balls comes from them watching the STL Cardinals together.
Speaking of traveling, Yadi loved to travel with his Mama and Dad. His favorite form of traveling was camping. You could say the words “wanna go camping” and his ears would perk up and he’d run to the back door and bark waiting to be let out to get in the truck. Yadi’s favorite part of camping aside from getting grilled breakfast and dinner was sitting on the fold down porch. He would go to the back of the toy hauler first thing and wait for it to be put down for him. Some of his big camping adventures included: Mexico Beach, The Everglades, San Antonio, and New Mexico with a few trips to Talladega and many trips to Land Between The Lakes.
He is survived by his parents, Shanda and Jason Edmonds, along with many family members and friends of his parents that loved him dearly.
Anyone that knew Yadi’s parents, certainly knew about him. His parents are going to miss him terribly and their home and trips will never be the same without their baby boy and their travel buddy. His Mama now has an emptiness that will never go away or be filled again. He was not her dog, but her child.
While there is peace in knowing he is healed from his Hemangiosarcoma and Congestive Heart Failure, there is an ache that will never go away.
